# Our Story
Here's what inspired the Blue Parrot Lounge.

### How it All Started
Seven years ago, I found myself stepping into a 1930s vintage-themed lounge nestled in the heart of Anaheim, California. As I crossed the threshold, I was immediately enveloped by an atmosphere that seemed to transport me back in time.
- The air was filled with the **gentle strains of jazz**.
- The dim lighting cast a **warm glow** over the plush, velvet seating, inviting guests to sink into **comfort** and **lose themselves in the moment**.
- Small plates of **exquisitely crafted food** and expertly mixed drinks were served with a flourish**.** Each bite and sip a testament to the **art of indulgence**.
I spent several hours in what felt like an extraordinary conversation with family and friends. Though in truth, it was the lounge experience itself that was truly remarkable.
This enchanting evening sparked an idea—a vision of creating a similar haven in one of our Sacramento suburbs.

After years of meticulous field research, analysis, business modeling, and scouting for the perfect location, The Blue Parrot Lounge finally came to life in the charming city of Rocklin, California, ready to offer its own unique blend of elegance and nostalgia.

Great atmosphere and really good service. Cozy, relaxed and nice music on a Saturday night. Service was really good and the food was even better. I had the ribeye with potatoes and veggies and it was amazing. We also got the shrimp and crab cocktail. It was also really good. Last and definitely the hit of the evening, the charcuterie board was beyond the best we've had and only $36. There was enough food on the charcuterie that we really didn't need anything else. The management and owners were personable and friendly too. Looking forward to coming back with friends next time.

1st time my fiance and I came was AMAZING! The steak with vegetables and potatoes was THE BEST! Also had Strawberry Champagne Cake. DELICIOUS!! The atmosphere is all 40s. Loved all the furniture, music, and pictures...Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett etc... manager, Suzanne, is awesome! We will definitely be going back!
